Chocolate reduces stress. Fish stimulates the brain. Is there any truth to such popular beliefs? The findings of researchers around the world say yes: It appears we really are what we eat.
A study in a British prison found that inmates who took vitamin supplements were less prone to violent behavior. And in Germany, a psychologist at the University of Lübeck has shown that social behavior is influenced by the ingredients consumed at breakfast. But what really happens in the brain when we opt for honey instead of jam, and fish rather than sausage? Scientists around the world are trying to find out. Neuro-nutrition is the name of an interdisciplinary research field that investigates the impact of nutrition on brain health. Experiments on rats and flies offer new insight into the effects of our eating habits. When laboratory rats are fed a diet of junk food, the result is not just obesity. The menu also has a direct influence on their memory performance. The role of the intestinal flora has been known for some time, but scientists are currently discovering other relationships. So-called "brain food" for example: The Mediterranean diet that’s based on vegetables and fish is said to provide the best nutrition for small grey cells. Omega-3 fatty acids, which are found in fish, for example, protect the nerve cells and are indispensable for the development of the brain - because the brain is also what it eats!

  • Cure for depression....1..get your gut flora balance and eat prebiotic foods. 2. Stop eating poison, processed foods, sugar, gluten, high oxalate and high lectin foods and only eat natural foods. 3. Eat a plant based diet. 4. Drink water, lots. 5 take anti inflammatory herbs, cur-cumin, garlic, resveratrol, 6. Take vit 5 with k, 4000iu’s a day. 6. Take a B complex and c vitamin. 7.If female, take a good iron supplement. 8. If male, take 15mg zinc. 9. Take omega 3 oils only. 10. Take brain boosting herbs, rotate dally. Matcha ,ashagandha, maca root, Korean ginsing,, Gotu Kola, in time they will work. 11 get up early and go to bed on time so you get a good night sleep, be disciplined here. use your phone, get a snoring app, see if you have disturbed sleep. 12 and this one is as important as all of the above. Calm the brain. You are unique , there is only of you on this planet. What you are feeling , millions of others are as well, you are not alone. You must put down all the noise in your life, stop thinking about everything . If you carry all this baggage each day to the next day, you will be crippled. Think as a child playing. They are in the moment, so you have to rewire , train your brain, to be in the moment and only the moment because that is all you really have ,is the moment it is yours. Our brains are not equipped to be constantly receiving all the poison on the internet, social media, news, etc, you are disrupting your nature flow of hormones and everything is out of whack, dopamine must be produced in a calm joyous state of mind. You must calm the mind, practice deep breathing and meditation, morning and night, do not miss a day. Now do this once a day, look into the mirror and laugh, laugh at your big none, funny ears, funny hair , laugh at yourself it is ok, because you are special. Now the last one. Stop trying to figure out the world, your place in it , what is the meaning, what is your purpose of life, what is the point and look for pieces of joy , what makes you smile, what makes you get out of bed and only focus on building that world, in that place you will eventually find purpose and meaning. Be kind to yourself and take today off from your depression, just do it, say today I am placing my depression on a shelve and going for a walk. Good luck, I have been there.

  • How I kicked my sugar cravings- I wasn't out to quit sugar, I set out to bring my omega-6 omega-3 ratio back to normal. For 2 weeks I ate ZERO "unnatural" omega-6, and loaded up on omega-3, all of a sudden, I had ZERO cravings for sugar. Our bodies break down omega-6 and omega-3 with the same enzyme. We consume so many omega-6 very little or even none of the omega-3 gets used by our bodies. Just my opinion- I think the only fuel our brain is getting sugar because omega-3 can't be used for fuel. I think this is why we crave sugar. Once our brain FINALLY gets omega-3, the fuel it REALLY wants, it no longer craves sugar. I was a sugar head but once I cut omega-6 out and loaded on omega-3, I had ZERO desire for sugar, and it was serendipity.

People may simple be taking the money in the second visit because they realized after the first visit that they made a mistake in the first visit, nothing GUARANTEES that the food is the cause of those decisions.
