  • Another great "behind bars" movie. Yay. The world sees us as prisoners. That's the only movies hollywood has no problem making, apparently. These movies are important. But if you only show one side of our rich and multifaceted culture, all they end up doing is perpetuating a stereotype. If you are not frustrated by this fact, you could be part of the problem.

  • I’m not gonna lie, I was hoping this was an upbeat-no trauma film depicting black individuals doing everyday things with a light hearted storyline. (Yes, I was hopeful even though it is titled “Monster”) Already dealing with so much trauma from the trials on TV. Nevertheless, the trailer looks very moving and the casting, as well the film score from the trailer are amazing. So, I’ll definitely be tuning in.
