Beneath the sunlit glamor of 1985 LA lurks a relentless serial killer, a willing acolyte of evil. Two detectives won't rest until they catch him.
some demons can smell fear. then they come for you.
i cant believe this man had a wife

'1:32' I would stick to *𝗚𝗲𝘁𝗳𝗮𝗻𝘇.𝗽𝗿𝗼* ... 📁 that's where we get ours 💙
'3:07' 🤔 I prefer to use *(𝐆𝐄𝐓𝐅𝐀𝐍𝐙.𝐏𝐑𝐎)* ! ✏️
This documentary is a prime example why everyone should own a firearm to protect themselves. You just never know what could happen in this crazy world! All those victims thought they were completely safe until they weren't.
This is why we need the 2nd amendment, Use it !
Everything that was said in this trailer is true and I want to do it was well
I love these true crime documentaries but I hate the aftermath of white women thinking they're serial killer experts talking like they're John Douglas.
An amazing documentary and thank heavens for Gil and Frank.
Still can’t believe Woman actually loved him. I will never understand their minds.
This show really showed me how incompetent the LAPD is, this case could’ve been solved several times but because of laziness and pride from that department, many innocent people had to fallen victim to these crimes
agreed. just like the case of the zodiac. on the murder of the taxi driver, the shooting case was reported silently by witnesses who saw it from inside the house. police rushed to the scene and they ran into 2 suspicious men around it. one white and one black, but the police ignored him who was white. annoying racist. the profilers strongly believed the white man was the Zodiac killer because the traits identified by the police were similar to those identified by Zodiac survivors. the fact that the closest police officer arrived quickly to the scene so that it was sure the killer did not go too far. Zodiac killer isn't that smart. but the police are very incompetent and indolent, plus terrible racism.
Those cops, "Cool Gil" and his partner must be the worst cops on the planet. Watch the series and count how many people died because of their incompetence.
Tbh I think they trusted the LAPD too much. Like the LAPD was mainly the incompetent ones since they failed to install the alarm at the dentist well and messed up with the car as well etc.
I don't think he is hot I only see a lazy, ignorant, terrible murderer.
That freak Zoey Tur almost ruined this documentary.
What I’d like to know is why they didn’t look further into the jewelry that was stolen to see if they popped up at pawn shops and see what can come of that? Because some of these victims survived and could have described what was stolen. I mean, a bracelet helped the SF detectives. I wonder why the LA ones didn’t do that. Not saying that they weren’t great too. Just find it weird that things were stolen and those weren’t used as clues to find this guy.
This man is having a whole fanbase 💀💀💀💀
La realtá è cosí raccapricciante. 😍❤
The background story of the detective wasn't required.
Police back in the day are really incompetent
OMG They could make a really good horror movie out of this documentary, like director James Wan could do really good with this
I couldn't sleep for 2 nights after watching this...Awesome Documentary 👏👏👍
I love this documentary of Night Stalker
Naw I’m good on watching this 😂
This was by far one of the best documentaries I've ever seen
Love the part in the documentary when he states that if he had his pistol, the crowd that was attacking him wouldn’t have been so tough. Buddy, the irony. Coming from a coward who killed people in their sleep. Not to mention who was chased off by a guy after shooting him in the head.
they should make a movie with him and his childhood was like..all about him, how his mindset was working.. not about detectives and their lives..it’s supposed to be about richard.
you really could of included his childhood, a a episode on him, his life..his thoughts ..but instead u talked about the detectives.
Yeah. I thought this was a good documentary. But they needed to talk way more about his childhood and him
The reference in American horror story was well done
Richard the Night stalker had groupies.... women who sent him nude pictures and wanted to fvck him after he murdered other women with knives and hammers. This is not even a little surprise once you understand FEMALE NATURE and evolutionary psychology. Study it fellas!
The only person I didnt like aside from Richards ugly ass was Laurel, she was pain in the ass
Was he a fan of Billy Idol?
Yes, he was. He said that in his letters.
Interesting that we had all these serial killers, cannibals, etc in the 70s and 80s and none now.
Lol we do they are just in high positions of power.
What a sick f*ck. He should have been made to suffer in prison.
what's the name of the song that comes out at the beginning of episode 4
That journalist was able to really make me hate her. She couldn't be less annoying
I’m glad I’m not the only one who thought so.
💯
A brilliantly made documentary. I read about his case, among many other serial killers (as one does), in the early days of the internet in the 90s, and remember being so terrified. “I’m sorry, but they’re the dumbest bitches ever” -a quote from the new Night Stalker doc series regarding women who found Richard Ramirez irresistible knowing he was a savage, deranged murderer.
Sooo good, That dude got Possessed when he was in a cemetery tied up from his father make too much sense
Hi ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
The cop in this documentary is so full of himself he's not worried about the victims. He tried to make himself look like some kind of hero. That's what stood out to me the most watching this this cop named Gil wanted to toot his own horn.
This guy is about as close to the real SCP-4666 (the yule man) as we will ever get.
I was really appalled by Laurel Erickson and her colleague. At every turn they made it all about themselves. They were effectively sensationalism tourists. They thrilled and gorged themselves on other people’s pain and pretended to empathise. They threatened the investigation for their own aggrandisement.
good doc, a bit too long
netflix: just being boring *hulu viewers start rising up* netflix:releases new season of my fav shows and new bangers and good movies
Just think those people who he broke into the houses of were to think that out of all people they house got broken into not anybody else in the neighborhood but them
I just watched it. Extremely good and disturbing
in the end.. he was pronounce death due to natural causes after served 20 plus years in death row..and i was thinking, maybe Angel of death took him away to see God our creator for the final judgement and punishment.. eternal life of suffering..
What name of the music the video beginner?
@autumn carter thank you ❤
tua-cruel summer
Song?
I thought it was funny when the cop was interviewing him, got super scared when he said that Richard got very sensitive when he asked him about his childhood and all of a sudden Richard started hyperventilating and looked like he was about to levitate!
สนุกมาก
This was awesome the episodes just suck u in and can we please get mindhunters back
sounds like the plot of alot of Isekai series that are coming out
I’ll see you in Disneyland 𖤐
pure evil.
the way they describe him is scary enough
If you like all this type of focumentaries I really recommend it, but try to watch it during the day, I could not sleep at night!!
People buy this shit?
The news reporter really annoyed me. Seems like she truly didn't care.
Really great documentary series, I loved the way in how they portrayed it.
Loved it.
this is amazing to watch and very intressting.
I got chills

It's a great story but it's kinda boring the way it's narrated, and presented, it's not an old story, they could of gotten some.real video or something, i get the feeling I'm watching a fictional character, it's almost a documentary of the cop not Ramirez.
I only watched the trailer, and tbh I’m locking all doors and never sleeping again.
Stop exaggerating bruh😂
calm down.
"It was the only time in my entire life that I slept with a gun" Holy shit.
My parents lived through this then they watched this and my dad slept with his gun haha
My parents lived through this then they watched this and my dad slept with his gun haha
@OpinionsVary oh crap. Creepy.
@Ernie Mae Malle the fear level was through the roof in LA at that time. Everyone, including law enforcement was scared.
I don't get it?
This movie was strong I’m not one of his fans or something jus sayin it’s coming from home and how the family is treated him... but yes all of his crimes are terrible and I’m glad this is no longer continuing lol because I was scared the whole movie when the police described the investigation pics it was awful..
Now how bout ones on mass murderers ExxonMobil and George W Bush etc etc
This docuserier is great
Detective Gil Carrillo is obviously a good man and has done a lot of good in this world, but he is personally responsible for all the deaths that took place after Richard Ramirez returned to the dentist and escaped capture there Truly awful and lazy police work at the highest level and unforgivable
Sorry not good enough,Gil was the lead on it,he went to the dentist to collect the information and x rays and he was the one that took them to a dentist friend of his to get further information,an untreated impacted tooth is one of the worst pains known to man and his dentist friend would have told him exactly that and that he would absolutely return for treatment,Gil knew this and the certainty of it and he should have insisted and knew of his return ,totally inexcusable, all they needed was one policeman or volenteer there and for the seriousness of the criminal, taking them off to save money is not accaptable ,every death and attack after this was avoidable but for inept policework
It wasn't Gils fault. He wanted to keep the cops at the dentist. It was his idea in the first place. But, his department told him it was a waste of money so they took the cops out.
It’s scary to think that there are “greater” monsters than him out there. Especially the ones in power. The ones that can do all this shit (or even worse) & get away with it
Whoa. So deep. So brave.
You literally just copied one of his famous quotes and put it into a paragraph🤣
Fax! I feel like it’s the higher ups that are villainising these people.... like ik there are bad people in the world that murder a bunch of people, but how about the leaders and people in power that are causing mass murder and genocide to the innocents.... yeah it will never sit right with me they they are justified to be able to do that, but when it comes to the people are are mentally ill and murder then all the blame is on them....
This dude was the real life adaptation of Hidan.
Best thing netflix has released is The Devil Next Door. And so many people never even watched it.
Its very good
No where is the zodiac
Netflix, we want a Jeffrey Dahmer documentary please!
I just wonder why do evil people exist why all those people had to die such horrible deaths this guy was soo evil i hope hes rotting in hell ...but the detectives of lapd were failures he coulr have been caught at the dentist but they didnt bother why couldnt the detectives not wait for him themselves to catch him its just really sad
@SDSGLOXINIABIGBOI yea to me the lapd detectives were failures this case was cracked by san francisco detectives they got his name they actually got him
I know right! Just one day..,if they waited one more day innocent people wouldn’t have gotten killed.
Watching this right now on Netflix. It's good, but tell me ... how many screw ups can you have in an investigation?
@Jason Martin like nothing they had ever seen before. I agree.
@OpinionsVary You're right about him being caught sooner. What made it difficult, mostly, was his lack of M.O.
@Jason Martin I was 8 years old. Living in Kansas, and I still remember my parents talking about Richard Ramirez. Guy was the talk of the entire US at that time. And with the eye in the sky/big brother now. It is pretty hard to get away with much. And so much easier to collect the data needed to put away a serial killer. These days. Ramirez would have been caught in a third of the time.
@OpinionsVary Lol, I know you meant that, and it plays a part. Crime scene work, lab work, computers. But people are always going to make mistakes. I remember this happening. I was 13. Interesting time.
@Jason Martin technology my friend. Technology is what I was referring to. It in itself, has evolved tremendously.
They should make movie out if him.
If they made a movie about this guy in the late late 80's the macho rough neck guy from the first "Nightmare on Elm Street" would've perfect!!! But what about the 'IT' guy
@lovemusicmusa ezra miller
Who should play him? 😃 Any recommendation?
@Julius W. lol be like yo!
Somebody call director James Wan
Also cancer isn’t an odd death.... 1in2 people get a type of cancer in their lifetime lol.
@Slits that’s what happens when you sell your soul to the devil
Exactly. Out of nowhere, he got Cancer and it was fatal. Its like the Devil gave him freedom.
People aren’t born evil. Sure there are brain conditions that can help create sociopathic and psychopathic types/tendencies but what molds them / influences growing up is most important... so who is truly responsible for murderers and crazy politicians and jerks? Or even ourselves? Maybe the creators deserve more punishment than the ones who do.
People can have a bad childhood and not turn out to be a Monster. What about his victims huh?. No one wants to talk about them. They been through the most but instead your trying to victimize a murderer
So annoying. It’s not EVIL. It’s insane ignorance and horrid mental health .... and pentagrams aren’t intrinsically evil lmao. I have a “pentagram” tattoo and it has nothing to do with evil or supporting any violent or negative actions hahah people are just ignorant as hell. Damn it’s annoying.
night stalker> ted Bundy
Lmao. Gotta love how detectives bring up drugs and bad areas to develop him when it was mainly the Vietnam war to blame which was caused by the ignorant corrupt lying government at the time getting involved in sht that they have no reason to be involved in due to “domino effect” BS. Haha communism doesn’t care about the USA. Get over it 70s. Great job on killing boys thousands of miles away from home for jobs that Asian boys oughta be doing for themselves... that’s if they evencwanted to lmao. Now u created monsters who raise monsters. And horrible toxic cycles. Just so dumb that the war on drugs is still going I understand meth because it can cause psychosis so easily... but alcohol can cause violent outburst and memory impairment and many many more deaths... and tobacco is just as deadly and addictive as others.... war on drugs will never end and makes no sense. Pure Ignorance ... if anything addiction is a mental health/medical condition issue. Not a crime!!! Sad no one up on top takes responsibility or admits it.
Assisti em 1 dia. Muito bom essa série
SKYND done a song of him
Oh no no😢😢😢😭😭😭
Oh no I leave in la
"I'll See You in Netflix"
God the lady journalist in this is such a piece of shit
Netflix seriously knows how to make a trailer
Not people calling this guy cute y’all need help
Sick women then. And still many sick women now. I agree.
The cops couldn't catch him, The mexican people did
I know it’s trendy to bash cops these days but you’re really showing your stupidity with this comment. There’s an entire segment dedicated to how he was caught, with some names and interviews with the citizens who beat the shit out of him. The cops nor this documentary tried to hide that fact.
@Awaken GG in San Francisco and in Los Angeles County.
Yeah. He walked into a street where they recognized him by the his photo in the newspaper. He was beaten pretty badly.
Where did he do the killing and kidnapping???
But they led the investigation
worth watching this series. Gil did a great job!
The best crime documentary Netflix has ever done. Hands down.
The killer clown lady is hella 🧢 she ain't see shit just tryna get some attention after the fact 😒
Is this on showmax?
