  • Globalization was and always will be just a fantasy! Once China attacked America and the world with the virus, it all became clear that it was a fantasy. Democraps and Republicans both failed America! But more importantly, they failed Americans!!! The result will be huge social unrest, more diseases, wars, famine, and untold pain and suffering. Of course this will only come down on the lower 99% of the population, the top one percent will profit. The 1 percenters own huge bunkers throughout the world! In fact, many of the 1 Percenters don't even live in America. So why would they care if the lower class people starve? Biden was the globalists last gasp to reinstate globalism. It was a globalist coup!!!

  • Only if there's no change in the way things are being handled. Either set a standard for international shipping, in which customs will send back anything not living up to said standard, when in an emerging viral spread, or, require a decon procedure for all international shipping to be payed between the shipper and shipee, during an emerging viral spread. And next time let's not be late on the draw, with declaring a pandemic state. Much like DEFCON. 5 being the lowest alert level, the means are now to be applied. 4 being the next level of urgency, a virus of unknown capability but a-symptomatic spread is proven in existence, even while the numbers are low. 3 Numbers increase, too rapididly for the next 3 months to be handled even at optimal hospitalisation entropy. 4 Spread far beyond the capability of the care system, schools close, no non quarantained interntaional travel, everyone stays home, shopping is still allowed, when reporting such is taking place, for a maximum of 2 hours every 3 days. 5 Maximum alert, everyone stays home, food gets delivered in governmentally issued packages. No non essential people on the street wherever, and full SEVA required for doing so, even for government of any rank still required to operate under these conditions. I'm certain everyone gets the picture. The thing is, we are stilll lucky that Sars-Cov-2 wasn't worse, as it may yet become so. Next time we may not be so lucky.

  • I hope this turns out to be right 🙏 Globalisation = cruelty! If your workers are at the other side of the world, it’s too easy to source your supplies from the ‘cheapest company’ who may be maltreating workers. If they worked in the same office as you or close-by, few people would ever permit this and would make sure they were well looked after. ‘Local’ is far more likely to equal ‘caring!’

  • Why do they say globalization? Why don’t they say, “Will urbanization survive?”. Their idea of globalization like it’s an exciting enterprise of its own. An end in itself. Something for them to write about. Bangladesh? Poor Bangladesh? Globalization: where Transport and logistics should grow, and grow, and grow, it’s not for Bangladesh...never was. Where does globalization work for the environment? That Banana from Mexico that was grown and stored in ten warehouses, travelled across oceans in refrigerated ships, along highways in refrigerated trucks to more warehouses ...those big highways opened up new suburbs for big cars to take big people big distances...I’m an English speaker...so lucky for me...the rest of you have to learn my language to get along. What do I do? Go traveling with the money. Then I get old..and write comments on PAworld. I see the regions all around me dying. The land falling into disuse. I see the Amazon trucks go by, the Uber eats carrying their commission back to the US,, as they glide through streets of broken businesses. I don’t think all people interested in ‘globalization’ are necessarily interested in Bangladesh or any other populous. They have an agenda, a short term agenda and they use the rhetoric to leverage it along.

  • Illegal immigration aside, it is time to amend the laws on land ownership. Buying/owning land by those who are not legally living/working should be prohibited by law. Those on a work/student visa should be allowed but limited to specific size/acreage. Only U.S CITIZENS and legal residents (Green Card holders) should be exempt from any limits to the amount of property and land ownership. China does not allow land ownership to a foreigner. Why should we allow Chinese nationals to buy land in the U.S?

  • A very interesting article. However, I disagree with images showing 'Brexit Britain' as being anti-globalist. Many economists have concluded that the UK's decision to leave the EU block will allow the UK to strike global trade deals outside the restrictions of a 'protectionist European block,' which effectively blocks global trade in many sectors, but more specifically in the sectors of data, tech and digital. The UK has added data and digital to it's trade deal with Japan, and noticably has trade deals pending in the Asia pacific region and has plans to join their trading block, which currently accounts for 13% of global trade and is set to be the highest growth area in the coming years. The UK is most certainly not anti-globalist post Brexit, and unlike Germany, it's economy is not dependent on home-based factories and manufacturing
